GO BEYOND
IMPROVING OUR ENVIRONMENT TOGETHER
We think about our planet and conserve its precious natural resources. Our goal is to achieve maximum balance between what we take from nature and what we give back to it. As an outlet center, we give fashion a second chance and support the slow fashion trend, which is environmentally friendly. We manage sustainably, implement innovative technologies, and support biodiversity. Employee diversity is another key topic for us, as it represents a source of diverse ideas and perspectives and promotes tolerance in society.
QUALITY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN QUANTITY
SUSTAINABLE FASHION
More than 150 billion pieces of clothing are produced annually, with discarded clothing accounting for 9% of the total global waste volume. At Fashion Arena Prague Outlet, we actively support sustainability and aim to eliminate environmental impact. We offer a wide range of sustainable products and emphasize eco-friendliness in all aspects of our offerings and services. Our customers can choose from a wide range of special sustainable collections from brands such as adidas, Asics, Diesel, Gap, Levi’s, Nike, and Puma.

WE’VE PROMISED TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE
CERTIFICATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS
We are creating a more sustainable center together with our parent company, VIA OUTLET, and our certification partners. Our center’s goal is to become a European leader in sustainability and ecology among other shopping centers. At the same time, we aim to have a positive influence on all our collaborating entities in this area. Every year, we receive relevant evaluations from renowned international institutions and Czech organizations, proving that we are truly achieving our commitments.
The BREEAM Excellent certificate demonstrates a high standard in the management, renovation, and operation of the center, emphasizing long-term sustainability. The international GRESB ***** certificate confirms financial transparency in management concerning environmental and social aspects. The National Green Energy certificate from Pražská energetika guarantees that the center uses only renewable electricity. The REMA SYSTEM certificate confirms that we are a green company.
THE MOVE TOWARD MORE SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION
MOBILITY
ULTRA-FAST CHARGING STATION - The 150 kW Hypercharger by PRE charges an electric vehicle to 80% capacity within 30 minutes.
20 PARKING SPACES FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES - The charging stations have a capacity of 22 kW, operated by Pražská energetika, just like the existing hyperchargers.
SHARED E-SCOOTERS - Our customers can also use shared e-scooters, available for rent in the outlet center area near the PRE charging station for electric vehicles.
REGULAR BUS TRANSPORTATION - We provide all customers with complimentary shuttle bus service from the Depo Hostivař metro station.
BIKE RACK - For all customers who choose to visit our center by bicycle, we offer a bike rack next to the Lindt store.
NOT A DROP WASTED
WATER USE
WATER RETENTION TANK – We have commissioned an underground retention tank for collecting rainwater with a capacity of 400 cubic meters. The water is subsequently used for irrigating the grassy areas and green roofs of our outlet center. It is also used for flushing toilets, saving up to 1000 m³ of drinking water annually. The collected water undergoes modern filtration processes, including UV radiation and sand filtration, ensuring high quality and broad usability.
DRINKING WATER FOUNTAIN – To reduce plastic production in our center, we have installed a drinking water fountain on the access path next to the Lindt store. The fountain is specially designed so that the lower part is accessible for our customers’ pets to drink from.
GREEN ROOF – A total of 1890 m² of our center's roof area is planted with succulents. The green roof helps reduce overheating of the interior spaces during the summer months. It also absorbs rainwater, increasing humidity in the surrounding environment and contributing to the reduction of CO2 levels in the air.

CREATING THE CONDITIONS FOR DIVERSE LIFE
BIODIVERSITY
6 CAMEROON SHEEP – Free-roaming animals significantly impact the health of the entire ecosystem. Therefore, we have placed five Cameroon sheep around our outlet center. By grazing on the grass, these sheep help improve soil quality and maintain the surrounding vegetation in its natural state.
PLANTING FRUIT TREES – Over the past few years, we have planted dozens of fruit trees on the surrounding lands to support biodiversity in our area. These trees also serve as a natural refuge and food source for various insect species and small animals.
6 BEEHIVES – We have strategically placed beehives in our outdoor spaces, which are crucial for maintaining a stable landscape. The beehives are located at a safe distance from the shopping area to ensure customer comfort and safety.
INSTALLATION OF INSECT HOUSES – Insects are one of the fundamental pillars of most ecosystems. Not only are some species responsible for pollinating many plants, but insects are also important for the decomposition of organic waste. Therefore, we have installed insect houses around our center.
RECYCLING MEANS LESS WASTE
WASTE MANAGEMENT
WASTE YARD – We are committed to ensuring that the waste produced by our center is directed to recycling facilities. We use our own waste yard, where separated waste from individual stores and waste produced during the center’s operation is placed in prepared bags.
SORTING 8 TYPES OF WASTE – We sort everything from biowaste, processed in our composter, to paper, plastic, glass, cans, mixed waste, and textiles. This has reduced the number of waste collections from our center by a third.
BATTERY COLLECTION – In 2023, we submitted over 20 kg of used batteries for collection and subsequent recycling. These were further utilized in manufacturing various new products, such as car batteries and roof gutters. We continue this effort in collaboration with the umbrella organization ECOBAT this year.
HANGER RECYCLING – Used hangers also find new uses, as we have donated them to the Sue Ryder senior home in Prague, the popular Studio DVA theater, and the Prague Higher Vocational School of Fashion Design.
KLOKTEX CONTAINER – The charitable container is designated for donating clothing, footwear, and toys. It is located in the customer parking lot near the bus stop. About 20% of the textiles deposited by our customers are recycled, while 75% of wearable clothing, footwear, and toys are donated to charitable organizations in our country or third-world countries.
A BUILDING THAT IS IN HARMONY WITH NATURE
SUSTAINABLE BUILDING
Our long-term goal is to improve our outlet center’s building and its surroundings to minimize negative environmental impacts. With this comprehensive approach, we strive to create a sustainable and environmentally responsible environment within the local area and its broader surroundings.
PHOTOVOLTAICS – We have installed a special lightweight photovoltaic system on the roof of the outlet center, which generates more than 400 MWh annually, equivalent to the average consumption of 160 Czech households. The operation of the photovoltaic system additionally saves us more than 2,000,000 CZK annually.
GREEN WALL – We have planted a diverse range of plants on a wall in the food court, creating a pleasant environment for customers while also reducing the amount of CO2 in the air.

CELEBRATING DIVERSITY
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
SUPPORT FOR THE LGBT+ COMMUNITY – Every June at Fashion Arena, we celebrate LGBT+ diversity and equality. For example, we collaborated with talented Czech designer Lukáš Macháček, who created fabric bags with the slogan "ALL DRESSED IN LOVE." The proceeds from their sale were donated to ILGA and Dům světla, organizations focused on education, assistance, and equal rights for the LGBT+ community. This year, we partnered with the platform sbarvouven.cz, which supports individuals during their coming out process. The collaboration resulted in an exhibition held in our shopping arcade.
CHARITY BAZAAR IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VERONIKA KAŠÁKOVÁ – Our charity bazaar allowed visitors to donate used but undamaged clothing to support the independence of children from orphanages. The total proceeds of 152,805 CZK, plus a 20,000 CZK donation from our outlet center's management, were donated to the Veronika Kašáková Foundation, which assists young adults from orphanages in the Czech Republic. All unsold clothing was donated to the Clothing Bank and the Club of Single Mothers, with whom we have a long-term collaboration.
CHARITY FAIR FOR VFN – We organized a charity fair to benefit the canistherapy services of the General University Hospital in Prague. From the sale of pre-owned clothing, we raised a total of 72,731 CZK for this cause.
CLUB OF SINGLE MOTHERS – We have a long-standing collaboration with the Club of Single Mothers, which provides financial support to single mothers and their children. During the pandemic, many of our stores donated shoes and clothing to the Club of Single Mothers and the Clothing Bank. Unsold items from our charity bazaars are also donated to the Club of Single Mothers.
GIVE AND GAIN DAY – We regularly participate in volunteer activities aimed at helping individuals and communities in the vicinity of our center.
ACCESSIBILITY CERTIFICATE – In addition to all the standard modifications required for an accessible building, we have also adjusted the aisles between product shelves to ensure comfort for visitors with disabilities. Our outlet center was awarded an accessibility certificate by the National Council of Persons with Disabilities of the Czech Republic.
