ALTAY is a new Czech brand bringing timeless fashion made from 100% cashmere directly from Mongolia. It combines one of the world’s most luxurious natural materials with Czech design that does not follow short-lived trends, placing a strong emphasis on quality.

Mongolia offers unique conditions for producing exceptional cashmere. In its harsh climate, local goats develop a fine, exceptionally warm undercoat beneath their outer coat. This undercoat provides the precious cashmere fibres. Mongolian cashmere is also distinguished by its natural colours. The fibres occur in four natural shades, ranging from white and beige to taupe and a distinctive warm grey.

The name ALTAY refers to the mountain range of the same name in western Mongolia. Like the environment from which its cashmere comes, the brand is rooted in naturalness, resilience and authenticity. With proper care, a quality cashmere garment can last for many years and become a lasting part of its owner’s wardrobe.

ALTAY Fashion’s designs are created by Czech fashion designer Lenka Bernardes da Silva, who has worked in fashion and personal styling for more than 20 years. Her work brings together Czech tailoring craftsmanship, carefully selected materials, meticulous workmanship and timeless design. She has also worked as a stylist and wardrobe coordinator for First Lady Eva Pavlová.
