The so-called quiet luxury trend, which removed bold logos and prints from our wardrobes, is no longer new to the fashion scene. Most of us have already successfully mastered the basics of minimalism. The question for the coming season, however, is how to take this clean aesthetic one step further without making it feel austere or boring.
The answer comes from Northern Europe. Scandinavian elegance takes the best of quiet luxury and enriches it with much-needed ease and thoughtful layering. The Nordic approach is not built on rigid perfection, but on the concept of lagom — having everything in just the right amount. It focuses on combining raw and delicate materials, oversized silhouettes and absolute practicality.
“While classic quiet luxury can sometimes feel a little cold and impersonal, the Scandinavian approach brings it to life,” explains Bára Kubíčková, stylist at Fashion Arena Prague Outlet. “It is no longer just about wearing clean, logo-free pieces in neutral colours. It is luxury that you can wear without worrying about getting caught in the rain or hopping on a bike. It is about practicality.”

While silk and cashmere take centre stage in the traditional interpretation of quiet luxury, Scandinavia is not afraid to incorporate denim into elegant outfits. Originally designed primarily for heavy manual work, denim has evolved, and wide-leg jeans are now one of the cornerstones of relaxed elegance. Try the iconic Levi’s 501 jeans. Paired with a minimalist striped ONLY T-shirt, they create an effortless yet sophisticated daytime outfit.
The timeless dark blue women’s trench coat by Mango draws inspiration from the military coats worn in the trenches during the First World War. With the arrival of the first chilly mornings comes one of the most exciting fashion moments of the year. While summer is all about adding and removing layers, in autumn, it is the coat or jacket that first catches the eye and defines the overall look.
“Forget about colour for a moment and focus on how a particular cut works with your figure,” explains Bára Kubíčková, stylist at Fashion Arena. “For example, cropped jackets that end at the waist visually elongate the legs, especially when paired with high-waisted trousers. In contrast, a classic long trench coat creates a strong vertical line that makes the figure appear slimmer. A more voluminous bomber jacket adds definition around the shoulders, which can work particularly well for figures with narrower shoulders. When choosing your clothes, always consider the silhouette you want to create.”

How do you create an outfit that can take you straight from the office to an informal meeting or coffee without looking too formal? Delicate vertical stripes take centre stage on a classic cotton shirt by Marc O’Polo, visually elongating the figure. It pairs perfectly with sand-coloured GAP trousers. A light grey cotton Levi’s jumper adds a relaxed touch—simply drape it casually over your shoulders and tie it loosely, inspired by the streets of Copenhagen. For chilly autumn weather, complete the outfit with a classic men’s denim jacket by GAP.
