Together with Fashion Club stylist Jana Purkrábková, we present four different ways to tie a scarf. But that’s not all. We have also prepared four winter outfits in which the scarf serves not only a practical purpose, but also enhances the overall look and adds individuality and elegance.

Hermes Style
"If you’re new to scarf tying, opt for silk, one of the most versatile materials. Not only is it the easiest to work with, but it’s also a year-round piece. A silk scarf complements summer outfits just as well as it works in winter, for example with a leather jacket, coat, or knitwearm where the mix of materials creates an interesting contrast,” advises stylist Jana.
For a refined look, choose a silk scarf tied in the spirit of the iconic Hermès house. Take inspiration from the simple three-knot technique, which creates an elegant detail.

Croissant
When it comes to warmth, a wool scarf is the best choice. Thanks to its insulating properties, it is ideal for cold autumn and winter days and perfectly complements a coat, trench coat, or knitted sweater. When selecting a wool scarf, length and width play a key role.
“Longer and wider styles allow for creative layering and various tying techniques, from a loose wrap around the neck, to an elegant drape over the shoulders, or a double wrap that provides reliable warmth even in freezing temperatures,” explains stylist Jana.
A deeper coat neckline can be filled with a scarf tied to follow its line, creating a soft, voluminous shape reminiscent of a croissant.

Small knot
“Jackets and coats with a stand-up collar are best paired with a silk scarf, which gently fills the space between the neck and the collar,” recommends Jana.
Use a simple small knot to tie the ends of the scarf together ~ and voilà, you have created a chic outfit.

Balaclava
“The trend of wearing scarves and shawls on the head has never truly gone out of fashion. It remains a symbol of courage, individuality, and confident self-expression. The key is not being afraid to stand out and to find a variation that suits you ~ and that is precisely what makes a scarf a timeless and versatile accessory that transcends fashion cycles,” concludes stylist Jana.
Beyond its practical function, a scarf tied over the head can add a confident and bold accent to the entire outfit. However, it is important to pay attention to a harmonious combination of materials, colors, and patterns, as well as to consider face shape, so that the scarf naturally enhances your personality.
